Christopher Peter Meloni (born Christopher Peter Meloni) is an American Actor, best known as a star of the well-known TV series 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. From the time he was in college, Christopher Meloni has been fascinated by the world of acting. He studied acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. He's appeared in the television and film industry, but the small screen characters which earned him fame and an enormous fan base. He is able to play both characters from the side of the police as well as the different. That's what is what makes him so famous. He played the serial killer role in his first television project and later played the role as an NYPD detective. In recognition of his performance on tiny screens, he's received many nominations for highly coveted Emmy Awards as well as PRISM Awards. One of his most distinctive face features is thought to have been the piercing blue eyes which have helped him portray characters who appear rough and fascinating. People's magazine's Sexiest Men Alive 2006 featured the actor.
