Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn has been an actress for over 20 years. She is most famous for her character Skyler White on The AMC show Breaking Bad for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actor in the Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. Her other roles are Jean Ward in The Practice and Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in 1968. The actress fell in love with acting in the Preparatory school, prior to moving to Ohio with her family in the late 1970s. She attended theatre classes in the theatre department at Northwestern University and spent a semester studying at the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her professional career in Chicago-area theatres for a few years. After that, she switched to film and television. Anna received her breakthrough in 1992 when she appeared as Arden for 29 episodes of Down the Shore. Anna continued appearing in films as well as TV shows such Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and others up to the late 1990's. Anna was later cast in The Practice as Jean Ward. In 2000, she was cast in Deadwood playing Martha Bullock for two full seasons. Skyler played her part as Martha Bullock in Breaking Bad. Sully as well as Deadwood was a different film that she appeared in. Gunn was also in the David Schwimmer directed production Sex With Strangers. She also had a role in Numbered Day, an audio-based podcast that consists of four audio-based plays. Breaking Bad's story is usually driven by the relationship that exists between Walter White, his wife Skyler and their difficult relationship. The decline of their relationship is in line with Walter White's last days.
