Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shakar, the American and British sitarist. She was awarded the British House of Commons' Shield in the year of her youngest and the first female to receive it. Apart from nine Grammy nominations, she was also the first musician of Indian origin to be a presenter and performer during the ceremony live. Anoushka is a rising star in Indian sitar. She is the daughter and student of Ravi Shankar. She was born in London in 1982. In her first years she split between London New Delhi. At the age of 13, her first show was in New Delhi took place. Then she relocated in Encinitas CA where she graduated from High School with honours in 1999. Anouskha is an aspiring young lady, nevertheless, she has an amazing career in singing and recording.
